An Oerlikon Balzers coating unit has been officially opened in October 2010 within the Samputensili Service Centre located in Bentivoglio/Italy. The partnership between Samputensili and Oerlikon Balzers will bring considerable benefits to our customers, with consequent lead-time reductions by over 50%.

Furthermore, since January 2011 a brand new coating has been available within our in-house coating unit, the BALINIT® ALCRONA PRO. This innovative coating is the new top-tier all-rounder in cutting applications and ensures excellent wear resistance, thermal shock stability and hot hardness. BALINIT® ALCRONA PRO is particularly recommended for carbide and HSS hobs.
