We consider the EMO in Milan a milestone of the past years, not just because it is a trade fair which arrives in a most insecure time, with the machine tool industry glooming on bad expectations and a glimpse of hope for the year 2010. For SAMP the EMO 2009 marks the start of 'the new SAMP'.

Not even a year ago, in December 2008, SAMP set the starting point for an ambitious development plan with very stringent quality objectives. We established single quality gates for each product line with clearly measurable variables which have been passed, one at a single time, in order to create products which are not just innovative highlights but feature top quality regarding productivity, availability and final product quality as well. This very demanding procedure has changed the face of our company in many ways – including the positive attitude of our personnel towards overall product quality. Of course we have only set foot on the never-ending road to perfection, nevertheless the achieved improvements are of amazing nature.
