SU and Star Cutter: Together in China
We are proud to announce that the fruitful partnership between Samputensili and Star Cutter has been further strengthened and extended to the Chinese market.
On March 1, 2015 the new joint-venture Star SU International Trading (Shanghai) Co. Ltd. comes into force and begins operating under the Star SU China brand name. The new company, located in Shanghai, assumes all sales and service-related activities for cutting tools and machine tool technology of both companies. The representative office in Beijing will continue its activity in the same location.
The partnership between Samputensili and Star Cutter has started in 2002 with the creation of the joint-venture Star SU Llc. in Hoffman Estates, IL (USA), the sole go-to-market organization responsible for sales and distribution of machines and tools in the North American market. In 2014 the partnership has been extended to the South American market with the establishment of Star SU do Brasil in Jundiai, Sao Paulo (Brazil).
The expansion of the co-operation to China enhances the presence of both Samputensili and Star Cutter in this strategic market, strengthens their position and allows them to achieve a competitive advantage.
